Smartphone Screen Protectors
A screen protector is the cheapest insurance you will ever buy for a phone. A replacement iPhone screen runs $279 to $379 at Apple. A quality tempered glass protector costs a fraction of that and takes the hit first.
We carry Zagg InvisibleShield and BodyGuardz across iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, iPad and Apple Watch, all well below retail, including multi-packs.
Screen protector buying guide: which type, getting the right fit, installing, warranty
Which type do you need?
- Tempered glass is the default choice. Chemically strengthened glass, usually 0.2mm to 0.33mm thick, with the same clarity and touch response as your bare screen. Best all-round protection against drops and scratches.
- Privacy screen protectors use a filter that darkens the display when viewed from an angle. Worth it if you work on a train, in an open office, or handle sensitive information in public.
- Matte and anti-glare cuts reflections under harsh light and outdoors. The tradeoff is a very slightly softer image and a textured feel some people love and others do not.
- Camera lens protectors are separate and often overlooked. Rear camera glass scratches easily when a phone is set face-up on a table, and it is not cheap to replace.
Getting the right fit
Screen protectors are model specific. An iPhone 15 protector will not sit correctly on an iPhone 15 Pro, and Pro Max models are different again. Check the exact model on the listing before ordering.
On curved-edge phones like the Galaxy S24 Ultra, look for edge-to-edge designs. BodyGuardz Pure 3 Edge covers the full curve. Flat-screen phones are more forgiving and almost any well-fitted protector works.
Installing without bubbles
The single biggest cause of a failed install is dust, not technique. Clean the screen with the included wet wipe, dry it, then lift any remaining specks with the dust sticker. Hold the screen up to a light and check before you lay the glass down. Most protectors ship with an alignment tray that handles positioning for you.
Small bubbles at the edge usually self-clear within a day. A bubble with a visible speck at the center will not, so lift and re-clean that spot rather than pressing harder.
Warranty
Zagg offers a lifetime replacement warranty on most InvisibleShield lines. Register it when you install, because most people forget and then the coverage is worthless. BodyGuardz coverage varies by product line, so check the packaging on the model you buy.
