How to tell a real discount from a decorated one
Compare-at prices here are the manufacturer suggested retail printed on the packaging, and on multi-packs that figure is the MSRP multiplied by the quantity in the pack. The source is stated in the description so you can check it rather than take our word for it.
The more useful number on a consumable is cost per unit. A four-pack at a modest total discount often beats a single unit at a dramatic one. Screen protectors, batteries, gloves and paper goods all reward doing that arithmetic.
When to move and when to wait
Two categories here do not come back.
Discontinued lighting. The quantity shown is the complete available supply. Kohler has retired these lines and they cannot be reordered from the manufacturer. If you need two matching sconces, buy two now.
Single-lot overstock. Much of our stock is bought as one-time lots. When a lot sells through, the listing ends rather than restocking.
Consumables like screen protectors, batteries and cleaning supplies are the opposite. Those cycle regularly, so there is less urgency.
